About Us

ROALD

NorwegianTrans ANS was founded in 2005 and is a direct continuation Roald Toskedals’ one man company , R. Toskedal DAK-consult. The company is General Partnership, 100% owned by a total of four partners. NorwegianTrans ANS is based and registered in Rosendal, Norway and is thus operating under Norwegian legislation.

Now in 2009, we have more than 10 years experience as translators, yet out skills and knowledge extend a great deal further than that.

Roald Toskedal

REIDUN

Reidun is our General Manager and is handling all customer contact, job scheduling, and project follow-up. Reidun is college educated in Pedagogies and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Preschool Teaching.

She has 8 years of translator experience and has been working on projects ranging from sewing machines to rock crushing plants. Obviously, she has not become a full-fledged Engineer from this experience, yet she has gained extensive insight into translating technical manuals and other fields, such as marketing texts, financial reports, and several other fields.

GUNNAR

Gunnar attended Bergen University from 1995 to 2000 majoring in History, while studying Social Anthropology and Comparative Religion. He also attended Københavns University in Copenhagen, Denmark from 2000-2002 studying History with emphasis on the Roman Empire.

Gunnar is managing our Norwegian office and will be primarily handing office duties and e-mail communications. From 2006-2009 Gunnar was employed at Norwegiantrans ANS, performing part time jobs as translator/proof reader for Norwegian/English texts, and Office Manager functions at the Norwegian office in Rosendal.

JERRY

Jerry Pfoff, Reidun's husband, is our acting office manager in the United States, handling all the administrative functions that the busy translators cannot fit into their daily schedule, e.g. invoicing, payment follow-up, and company documentation/stationery.

Benefiting from his native American tongue, Jerry is also our proofreader for jobs into English. He has a long experience from various industrial fields, mainly in logistics, and he is familiar with most aspects of industrial trade languages.
